Hi! My name is Elaine Griffin, I am a 19 year old college student. I am an undergraduate Studio Art major at Samford University. Art has become the place where my curiosity, my need to create, and my desire to connect with others all meet. I’ve always been drawn to the process of making experimenting with materials, problem-solving through form and color, and discovering the unexpected moments that happen when a piece finally comes together.
In my studies, I’ve become increasingly interested in the ways art builds relationships—how a single piece can spark conversation, shift perspective, or make someone feel seen. My goal as an artist is to create work that feels honest and intentional, work that reflects both my personal experiences and the communities that have shaped me.
As I grow, I’m learning to trust my voice, embrace experimentation, and let my background and values guide my creative choices. Art, for me, is not just a skill but a way of understanding myself and the world, and I’m excited to continue developing that connection through every piece I create.
